The six works above are representative of the style I have adopted over the past 30 years. Using probabilistic techniques introduces uncertainty and diminution of control thereby changing the creative process to one of problem solving and heuristic decision making.

This was the first digital artwork I created using the 3D programme, Lightwave, some 25 years ago. Mark Stock produced a similar but generative art work, Gyre 35700 in 2012, 15 years after I made this one.

The images above are simple test renders of some of the basic techniques I’ve been looking at over the past few months. The textures used are rudimentary as are the meshes. Besides gaining a proficient working knowledge of Blender, I will need understand maths nodes as well as the new introduced geometry nodes.
